D.I.Y. - Picture Keepers


School is back in session, but your locker could use some decoration. Picture frames and bulletin boards are a must have if you want your locker to look good! Both picture frames and bulletin boards are costly, but we can show you a cheap alternative using things that you can find at home.

This bulletin board alternative is BLPA-approved, and it allows for easy removal. This picture keeper can also be hung up in your room. It can hold the drawings or certificates you feel like displaying.

Hanging pictures and certificates in lockers is hard to do and even harder to keep track of. The unique design of the Picture Keeper will be very easy to keep track of since it is only piece. The Picture Keeper will impress friends with its amazing design.

The Picture Keeper makes lockers cleaner and neater. Because the it is in one piece, it takes away the hassle of putting separate pictures in your locker. The Picture Keeper can also be used to hold keys, drawings, and jewelry.

Supplies for Picture holder

3 ft. String

5 Clothes Pins/ Paper clips 4 magnets

1 stick Hot glue/School Glue

Paint (OPTIONAL)

Clear tape

34” by 9” Wrapping paper/ designed background/Colored paper

Supplies for Polaroids

5 Polaroid photos/normal photos

3 Cardstock/ Construction papers

Washi Tape/ Stickers

Accessories: bows, stickers, ribbons, glitter, etc.

STEPS:

(Disclaimer: If you have Polaroids, skip the first two steps.)

  1. To make the Polaroid cut a 3 ½” by 4” sheet out of white paper.

  1. Set up the paper portrait style and glue your picture onto it leaving more space on the bottom than the top.

  1. Take your wallpaper and attach magnets to it.

  2. Hot glue the tip of your string to one of the top corners of the wallpaper/paper.

  3. Glue the string from right to left over and over again; leaving 5” in between each side connection.

  4. Take a clothespin or paper clip and clip your Polaroid anywhere on the string.

  5. Continue to add as many as you like!

  6. If you would like to decorate the polaroids with any kind of decorates you want; for example, stickers!

  7. Take your wallpaper and attach it to your locker.
