BLPA-Houses and orders are a major part of the culture here at BLPA. The prizes for winning through the ticket system are very good with, for example, free jeans days. It can be a hard challenge competing with other houses and orders to be the best. Here are some tips to house and order success.

Enthusiasm is a key part to success. Without the students all working together, it is not easy to win. According to Mrs. Rivera from the order Accountability, one way you can get your order to be more enthusiastic is by being “fun oriented.” She said that to do this, they often play games and have a good time. This is a great way to get students involved and engaged.

Houses and orders can earn points to win through the ticket system. Each ticket is worth 100 points. When the teachers see good behavior, they acknowledge it by giving students tickets. Some good behavior that sticks out to our teachers is working diligently, leadership, and integrity.

Finally, a word of advice from Mrs.Rivera is to have “consistency and routine within your order.” Be engaged, be respectful, be an example, and show pride for not just your order but for your school and community.
