Most paracord bracelets are coming with hefty price tags. With the few available colors of premade ones, this one can be made of any possible color you can get your hands on, from grey to a sliver yellow. Here's a cheap and fun way to make one with your own hands, some paracord, and normal around the house items. These bracelets can make a gift for your favorite person. These can also be used for a survival situation if really necessary.

Supplies:

  • Scissors

  • Paracord of any color

  • Ruler

  • Lighter With Parents’ Permission

  • Pliers or tweezers

Steps

  1. Take the piece of paracord, and use the ruler to get about six and a half feet of paracord, then cut the rope and mark and singe the ends with the lighter.

  2. Take both ends and line them up with each other, then, whilst holding the ends, use your finger to find the center of the rope - this does not need to be perfect.

  1. Use the center and wrap it around the circumference of your wrist, pinch both pieces of paracord at the point the cord meets your wrist, use the ruler to add another inch to the circumference, make sure to mark this point. This will become the diameter of your bracelet.

  1. To start the bracelet, take the two ends and face them away from each other.

  1. Take the right strand and make a loop over the front of the two strands; do the same with the left strand, but loop it behind the two strands.

  1. Take the strands and hold them together, take the right hand strand and pull it through the loop of the left hand strand, the right hand strand should come through the front of the left hand loop, the left hand strand should come through the back of the right hand strand.

  1. Tighten the strands to leave it as tight as you can make it, take the closed end that you're making the loops with and use that to tighten the first loop. There should be two small loops at the top; make these big enough to get tweezers or pliers to drag a strand through, but not too big or the friction won't be strong enough to keep the bracelet from falling off your hand.

  2. After this, repeat step six and tighten the strands using the two side strands; this should be repeated till the bracelet center has a small half-inch gap at the end take the strand facing the back through the back of the small loop, take the front and feed it through the front.

  3. Take the two strands and feed them through the holes with the tweezers - make sure they are straight and don't get twisted up.

  4. After both strands ends are through, take the two strands and get enough so when you open it with a knot, your wrist can fit through, tie the knot about a half an inch past that point.

  1. To tie the knot, wrap both strands around your pointer finger, bring the two strands into the center of the loop you just created, then pull the loop shut. After that, cut the excess off the knot. Use the lighter to singe the end and make sure to leave a little bit, so the knot can be pulled tighter if it starts to fall apart.
