BLPA-Has anyone ever asked you, “What do you want to be when you grow up? Let me tell you how Mrs. DeHoyos made up her mind, and in only one night. While babysitting some kids, she had an idea to follow in the footsteps of her mom. Mrs. DeHoyos decided on that eventful night, while dealing with children, that she wanted to be like her mom who was a teacher. According to Mrs. DeHoyos, her mom was very influential and always enjoyed teaching and helping people learn.

While her mom was not a science teacher, Mrs. DeHoyos combined her mother's influence for teaching with her passion for science. Mrs. DeHoyos has been passing on her love for science, and the passion she learned from her mother, and has been teaching for 28 years. It was no ‘big secret’ that Mrs. DeHoyos loves science in my interview time with her. She feels that science is fun, she loves it, and it is relevant in all we do.
