Today, on Foods From Around The World Christmas Edition!, we are traveling to Britain to taste a popular appetizer eaten during Christmas. We are going to a common household to make a Christmas finger food to die for. Although many people don't like prunes, bacon makes everything better! We are going to make Bacon Wrapped Sausages and Prunes, the popular British cocktail food.

Total time: 45 minutes to 1 hour

Serves: 5 to 8

Ingredients:

  • 12 Cocktail Sausages (1 Package 16 oz)

  • 12 Prunes (12 oz)

  • 24 Pieces of Bacon (2 packages)

  • 1 tbsp of Honey

  • 1 package of cocktail stick

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Put all sausages in a deep dish then toss them in honey. Make sure they are fully coated.

  3. Then, wrap each sausage and prune in bacon. Skewer each roll with a cocktail stick to hold them together.

  4. Put the rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.

  5. Let them sit on a rack for five minutes to cool.

  6. Use any dip your guest and you favor in your own tastes.

  7. Ready to serve!

The appetizer can be prepared in advance and refrigerated for up to six hours. This dish can be cooked on a grill, fire, or on the stove in a frying pan.
