BLPA-NJHS members will be having a fundraiser here at BLPA in the month of March. According to NJHS vice president, Riley G., “NJHS members must do at least two chapter service projects per year and, as a group, we voted on The National Mill Dog Rescue and Pennies for Patients.” This semester, they will be hosting pennies for patients, an organization that helps raise money for a cure for children with leukemia. Students will be given boxes to take home and fill with spare change. NJHS leaders are planning on making this a competition between orders in hopes of encouraging students to participate. Last semester, NJHS had a jeans day to raise money for the National Mill Dog Rescue. In total, they raised $176.66. “This semester,” says Riley, “I hope we are able to be more successful in raising money for children with leukemia.”
