Students Assemble!

BLPA- At 2:25 PM on the 25th of January, the students of BLPA gathered in the school’s gym for an assembly led by Mr. Larson. This assembly was a continuation of a previous assembly, and it was kicked off by Mr. Larson explaining a new system for scoring the Houses and Orders during the games.

The games consisted of Rock Paper Scissors, Cliffhanger, and Cup-push. In the first event, the winners of Middle School were Foresight, Perseverance, and Accountability, with High School being won by Aequitas. During the Cliffhanger event, where students were supposed to blow a card to the edge of a table so only the edge hung off, it became apparent that this task was impossible, “The internet lies? What?” Mr. Larson gasped, causing laughter throughout the crowd.

Finally, there was the Cup-push event where students were supposed to use balloons to blow three cups off of a table the fastest. This event was won by Creativity, Balance, Benevolence, and Constantia. Unfortunately, the assembly had to be cut short because we ran out of time. Hopefully, in the next assembly, there will be a conclusion to the games.
