The Shooting Stars

BLPA-The “C” basketball team had their first victory on January 31, 2018. They played against James Irwin, a charter school located in southern Colorado Springs. Player 14, also known as Emmerson, lead the team to victory, scoring all six baskets. Emmerson joins the Stallions from Imagine Indigo Ranch and is a great addition to the team. During the first half, the Stallions were leading 4 to 2.

Going into halftime, the score was all knotted up at 8 to 8. Throughout the second half, the Stallions showed great teamwork and determination. Players like Mia V. were able to block the opposing team preventing additional baskets from being scored. Brenna B. used her height to gain possession of the ball and helped make important rebounds. With this great teamwork, the Stallions were able to pull ahead with a late basket, beating James Irwin 12 to 10.
