A Huge Impact

BLPA- Mrs. Voltz is a school counselor here at Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy; she is very important in the everyday lives of the students at our school. Prior to working at BLPA, Mrs. Voltz worked as an elementary school counselor for eight years. When asked how she is different from our other counselor, Mrs. Wiggins, she replied, “I think Mrs. Wiggins and I are very similar, but we have different styles and personalities.” This allowed Mrs. Voltz to fit right in at BLPA. Mrs. Voltz enjoys how no two days are ever the same. “I think we have a really strong sense of community, too,” she says. “Kids and adults get to know each other really well, and I think that’s very special.” Mrs. Voltz has a huge impact on the students and teachers around her. To some, Mrs. Voltz is a school counselor, but to many, they wouldn't make it through middle and high school without her.
