Elizabeth Swaney is a perfectly normal person. She is a good student and has a degree from both the University of California and Harvard. She is very persistent and, at age 33, made her way into the Olympics.

Elizabeth Swaney is not a remarkable skier, but she found a way to get herself into the Olympics. She discovered that if you don't crash and ski normally you technically can qualify for the Olympics. She earned enough points to do so at small World Cup events and represents Hungary, being 10% Hungarian, as their first Olympic freestyle skier. Unsurprisingly, she is one of the worst Olympic skiers and considered an “embarrassment to the Olympics” by some. She has come in last or within the last few places every competition.

Elizabeth Swaney proved that she could achieve her dreams of being in the Olympics. Long story short, she has inspired many people around the world. She will go down in history not as a good Olympian but rather someone that achieved their dreams through perseverance.
