Music is something that is known to be a large part of society. Pretty much everyone listens to some sort of genre or type of music, and most say they couldn’t survive without it. With such a high importance on music, it would be foolish for entrepreneurs to not get into a music-app-creating frenzy and try to make money off of music lovers.
There’s definitely a wide range for music app media, but the same two seem to keep being the topic of conversation: Apple Music and Spotify. Each website is different in their own way, but they all have a similarity - how much money they’re making. It is suggested that if Spotify were to sell, it would go for $63 billion. However, Apple Music isn’t far behind. With a subscription rate of $9.99 a month, one person costs $120 for a year of subscription. That means $120 x the amount of users for Apple Music.
Music will forever be a thing for not only young millennials but older ones, as well. Last year showed drastic change in the music industry, but 2018 might even come with bigger surprises.
