The Reading Slump - one of the worst things that could happen to a reader. But, let's be honest; as much as we hate to say it, every reader has gotten to a point where they don’t want to read. Seems normal to the regulars of society, but us book lovers find the slump the worst thing in the world. Whether you’re currently in a slump, or planning ahead for the future, these tips and tricks might help you get out of the disastrous mood.
Find a Short Book - Most people try to go straight into a book with 400 pages while in a reading slump; but we all know they’re not going to finish it. If you read a short book and don’t read it’s jacket, it will be a big help to motivate you back into reading.
Read Books Online/ Listen to Them - Although you’re still reading, it feels better to take a break from physically reading and reading something online or listening to a book. (Wattpad or Audible)
Switch Your Genre - If you’ve recently been reading a Fantasy book, you might want to put it down and pick up a Science-Fiction one instead. Switching your reading genre can help change your focus, and refresh your mind on a new book.
Re-Organize Your Bookshelf - Re-Organizing your bookshelf is probably something you’ve been putting off for awhile, let’s be honest. But now, since you’re in a reading slump, you have the time and the energy to clean and organize your precious books’ home.
