Former First Lady, Barbara Bush, passed away recently from COPD, among other things. She grew up in a town in New York, where she lived until going to a boarding school in South Carolina. She got married in 1945 to future president George H.W. Bush, to which she was an asset during the 1981-1989 presidency. Barbara Bush was a very important part of empowering people all over. Some of her main focuses included increasing literacy rates, elderly programs, and supporting volunteer programs. She was liked by all, as well as renowned for her friendliness and warmth towards most. Bush was a great advocate for most everything America stands for. She helped others in ways that most can't even appreciate. She has written an autobiography and led multiple foundations. All in all, Barbara Bush is one of the most valuable people in recent American history, and will be strongly missed.
