The Miracle Season

This movie is based on the amazing, true story of the West High School girls’ volleyball team. The team lost their captain, Caroline “Line” Found, in a tragic car accident. Then the team tries to push through playing without Caroline but has a very hard time trying to win. They have to find a new captain after what happened, and this leads to Caroline’s best friend, Kelly, being chosen by their coach. Kelly had the hardest time dealing with her best friend’s death, but her coach convinced her to play and be there for her teammates. Their coach, Kathy Bresnahan, played by Helen Hunt, helps the team realize that they should play because that is what Caroline would have wanted them to do. Kathy gave her team the hope to make it to and maybe win the state championship. Even though their team goes through tough times, they play with joy.
