COLORADO SPRINGS-Have you ever gone to Sky Socks game? Well that won’t be possible much longer. The Sky Sox will be moving to San Antonio, Texas for the 2019 season. The Sky Sox will be replaced by the single A team, Helena Brewers, from Helena, Montana. The Helena Brewers are part of a short-season league which means their season will start in June and end early in September. The Helena Brewers will only be playing 38 games, which is half the number of a normal season. The reason for this change is that, since the Helena Brewers are part of the short season Pioneer Baseball League, this means they have less games but it means less games are rescheduled or cancelled due to weather. Therefore, fans can enjoy the games during the summer season instead. The Sky Sox are moving to San Antonio, Texas because this way they can they can do their full season with a less of a risk of weather issues. The Sky Sox will be taking the stadium of the Double- A San Antonio Missions and the San Antonio Missions will be moving to Amarillo, Texas. After the 2019 season is over all of the baseball teams will return to their original stadiums.
