ORLANDO- One of Florida's biggest cities, Orlando offers a wide variety of entertainment for locals and tourists alike. One of its biggest attractions is Universal Studios Orlando, grossing about 3.3 billion dollars every year. With a wide variety of rides and entertainment, Universal Studios is a great place to visit. When you enter the amusement park, you can see dozens of restaurants and shops, such as The Hard Rock Cafe, Starbucks, Cinnabon, Bubba Gump Shrimp, and Voodoo Donuts. There are also souvenir stands where you can pick up items before you enter the parks or find items you forgot to purchase before you leave for the day.
Universal Studios is home to Springfield, Hogwarts, and a variety of movie-themed rides, as well as their respective restaurants and shops. There are quite a few interactive activities, where visitors can meet and take pictures with their favorite movie or television characters. As well as a transition from Universal Studios to Islands of Adventure, guests can ride on the Hogwarts Express; this train brings you from Diagon Alley in Universal Studios to Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure.
Islands of Adventure, on the other hand, has more rides than food shops and souvenir stores. In this side of the park you can find a few candy shops, a carousel, a small train tour, and a playground. The Avengers, Hogsmeade, have very harsh rides like “The Hulk", which goes upside down several times.
The many staff members at Universal Orlando were very helpful, but the restaurants and shops were very overpriced. The parking is incredibly busy in the morning, and you might have a long walk from the parking area if you arrive in the early afternoon. The wait times for many of the more exciting rides stood at over 45 minutes, and the entrance to the park could even take 20-30 minutes, depending on your arrival time.
I would give Universal Orlando’s a rating of 9/10. I really liked it, but you might want to wear strong sunscreen and comfortable shoes, so all the walking and waiting doesn’t force you to leave the park earlier than you would like. If you are going anytime soon, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
